✨Who You Are In Christ

You Already Carry the Power: Rediscovering Your Identity and Authority in Christ

There’s a bold level of confidence that rises when you finally realize who you are in Christ, not through the lens of people, but through heaven’s revelation. Too many of us have walked around defeated, unsure, or second-guessing our worth, when the truth is our identity has already been established in Christ. Before the foundations of the world, God called you chosen, set apart, and made you victorious.

Ephesians 1:4 – just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,

You have been put in a position to take life’s storms head-on. In Christ Jesus, there is nothing we face in this life that we cannot bounce back from. Does this mean life will always be perfect? No! But, you have been given a Name that is above all names in Heaven and on Earth; it is in this name that everything has to bow.

Philippians 2:10 – that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,

When you come into alignment with that truth, your entire posture changes. You stop begging for what’s already yours and start walking in divine authority. Everything we need has already been paid for according to Isaiah 53 and the finished work of the cross.

We must believe and walk in it, as it will allow us to cease from chasing validation from people, places, and things as we start standing firm in the reality of who God says we are. If you’ve had the same issues relationally, financially, and physically for more than a year, I am here to tell you in love, that there are more underlying issues at work. There is a root that must be destroyed because you are in spiritual warfare, my friend!

Hebrews 8:6 – But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.

🌿 Identity: Who You Are in Christ

Your identity isn’t found in what you do, what you’ve been through, or what others have ignorantly said about you. It’s anchored in what Jesus the Messiah has already done for you.

  • “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”Ephesians 2:10
You are God’s masterpiece. There’s nothing accidental about you, not your gifts, your calling, or your journey.
  • “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people…”1 Peter 2:9
Royalty runs through your spiritual DNA. You are chosen to reflect His light in dark places, to represent heaven on earth.
  • “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, all things have become new.”2 Corinthians 5:17
No matter your past, in Christ you are brand new. Shame, guilt, and fear no longer have authority to define you. These things only affect when we walk in our flesh dependent from God’s divine help.

When you embrace your identity, you begin to see that your life has purpose, not because of what you can do, but because of who you belong to. Your prayer life will begin to change from begging to decreeing and declaring your authority.

⚔️ Authority: What You Carry in Christ

The moment you said yes to Jesus, you received not just salvation, but spiritual authority. This authority isn’t arrogance, it’s alignment. It’s knowing that heaven backs you when you speak His Word and walk in His will. The blood of Jesus has power and speaks on our behalf.

  • “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”Luke 10:19
You have power over every demonic scheme, every lie of the enemy, and every stronghold that tries to stand against you.
  • “He canceled the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This He set aside, nailing it to the cross.”Colossians 2:14
The cross was heaven’s legal victory. Every accusation, curse, and bondage was broken there. The blood of Jesus silenced the enemy’s claims against your life.
  • “And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.”Ephesians 2:6
You’re not fighting for victory, you’re fighting from victory. You’ve been seated in heavenly authority with Christ, above every power, ruler of darkness and principality.
  • “As for you also, Because of the blood of your covenant, I will set your prisoners free from the waterless pit.” Zechariah 9:11 You are fighting from a place of power. No defeat will ever be able to hold you in captivity. God is a covenant-keeping God, who can not lie.

💫 Walking in Identity and Authority

The enemy’s greatest weapon is only deception. He can’t take your authority, but he’ll try to make you forget you have it. He wants you to live unaware of your position, distracted, fearful, feeling defeated, and silent. But when you understand your identity and walk in your God-given authority, the atmosphere around you begins to shift. You don’t just accept mountains; you speak to them instead.

Matthew 11:23For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

You speak life and see mountains move.
You pray and heaven responds.
You declare and demons flee.

The authority of Jesus isn’t reserved for the “super spiritual.” It belongs to every blood-bought believer who knows who they are and Whose they are.

So today, begin to rise up, sons and daughters of God. Stand tall in your identity. Walk boldly in your authority. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you.

Romans 8:11But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

You are chosen.
You are called.
You are covered.
And you carry heaven’s authority right where you stand.

If this sounds like too much work, it is. We must enforce our authority, knowing that the victory has already been won. As I stated earlier, if you’ve had the same issues for over a year, you may very well need deliverance. (Pray for a safe deliverance ministry, and please email me, as I have a contact) We cannot afford to be ignorant of Satan’s devices when we’ve already been given power over them. Armor up, Saints, and stay in the war.

2 Corinthians 10:4 – For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,

Ephesians 6:10 – Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

Matthew 17:21 – However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting

Psalm 144:1 – A Psalm of David. Blessed be the LORD, my rock, Who trains my hands for war, And my fingers for battle;

Psalm 35:1 – A Psalm of David. Plead my cause, O LORD, with those who strive with me; Fight against those who fight against me.

Psalm 16:7 – When a man’s ways please the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

The book Psalms is full of warfare prayers; you should practice praying them daily!
